  2. USER INSTRUCTIONS:
  3. IMAGES OF CREATION - WINDOWS SCREEN SAVER
  4.  
  5. Your screen saver program has been installed into the Windows(tm) 
  6. Desktop of the Control Panel. BE CERTAIN YOUR MONITOR IS SET TO
  7. 256 COLOR PALETTE. If you have an old generic VGA monitor which
  8. can only display 16 colors, I'm afraid these images will look
  9. terrible. Sorry. 
  10.  
  11. Accessing your screen saver is easy and requires only three steps:
  12.   I.   Double Click on the Control Panel
  13.   II.  Open the Desktop Item
  14.   III. Select your screen saver, set delay, and password via
  15.   Setup.

  18. I.   Load the Control Panel
  19.  
  20. The Control Panel is generally found in the MAIN group of your Program 
  21. Manager. Execute the Control Panel by double clicking the Control Panel 
  22. icon.
  23.  
  24. If you cannot find the MAIN group or the Control Panel icon, you can run 
  25. the control panel from the File Manager by double clicking CONTROL.EXE in 
  26. your main Windows directory (usually called WINDOWS).

  29. II.  Run the Windows Desktop
  30.  
  31. To run the Desktop of the Control Panel, double click the Desktop 
  32. icon in the Control Panel.

  35. III. Select your screen saver
  36.  
  37. Use the 'Screen Saver' area of your Desktop screen to select your screen 
  38. saver. You may use the Test button to preview your screen saver and the 
  39. Setup button to assign a password and activate/deactivate your mouse.

  114. What 'Royalty Free' means.

  116. As owner of either the shareware version or registered version of
  117. this screen saver, you have a single user license. You have
  118. also acquired royalty free rights to the use of the individual graphics
  119. files: file names are given below. Understand that this royalty free 
  120. license applies only to the USE of the images, NOT to the reproduction and 
  121. sale of the graphics files themselves. These images may be used as design 
  122. elements in any publication or software product that you author, whether or
  123. not it is offered for sale in the retail marketplace. Examples of
  124. legal use would be illustrations in multimedia, catalogs, paper or e-books. 
  125. Illegal examples of image use would include the design of your own screen
  126. saver using these graphics files and/or their incorporation into
  127. retail image file collections of any sort. For these latter uses,
  128. please contact Reality Software for a duplication-resale license that 
  129. pertains to the graphics files themselves.

  147. THE MYTHOS OF CREATION
  148.  
  149.         These paintings evolved through fractal generation
  150. and were then subjected to a transformative evolutionary
  151. process with state-of-the-art computer art programs. As fractals,
  152. this art cannot exist without the computer because the generation of
  153. such imagery is not possible within traditional physical mediums. The
  154. computer thus emerges as a primary creative force in this realm,
  155. yet it must be guided and structured by the human mind. As the iterative 
  156. equations that produce fractals are continuously seeded with the results 
  157. of the preceding calculation, and thus produce great variety within 
  158. recognizable boundaries, so may you find an infinity of detail structured 
  159. upon thematic similarities in this art work.

  161.         What makes these paintings human is the metaphoric context 
  162. layered onto them by the artist and observer. As they interact with our
  163. minds, such paintings become poetic and mythic. Hidden within this beauty 
  164. is a meditation upon both the macrocosm and microcosm.  The range
  165. of creative force encompassing both the birth of stars and
  166. galaxies, as well as permeating the mother whose ultimate creation 
  167. is her offspring. Fractals both resemble and differ from the 
  168. parent. Similarity and difference are archetypal qualities of
  169. all the creations of the universe, be they inanimate or quite
  170. alive. These qualities forever co-exist to fascinate and challenge us.

  199.             are universal commodities 
  200.             or if the mind's eye can perceive
  201.             the deities who dictate form 
  202.             as whims of surreal dreams

  208.             in the mythos of unborn souls 
  209.             considering rebirth, floating 
  210.             through the ethos like fairies, 
  211.             creating our existence 
  212.             from dewdrops on petals 
  213.             and laughing as we contemplate

  220. RELEASES SCHEDULED FOR 1995 AND BEYOND!
  221.  
  222.         Reality Software is now releasing a series of screen savers 
  223. whose theme is antique transportation. Each registered version will 
  224. contain 15 royalty free, 8 bit TIF images in 256 grey scale. These 
  225. photographs are rare: most exist as single prints made by photographers 
  226. many, many decades ago, some more than a century old. These archival 
  227. images are of extraordinary interest, to historians, hobbyists and 
  228. design professionals. The majority have never been published before in 
  229. any medium and their intrinsic interest is exceptional. The originals 
  230. comprise our personal collection which took many years to accumulate. 
  231. This series offers you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire a 
  232. collection of the rarest transportation photography which is truly of 
  233. museum quality. Except for an occasional old stereo card, there is no 
  234. possibility that you would see any of these prints in the public 
  235. marketplace. Each individual photograph has been meticulously
  236. restored to remove negative and print damages while maintaining
  237. the historical integrity of the image.

  239. 1) Two collections which feature 19th century locomotives were 
  240. released in late 1994: several more are planned for 1995. There
  241. are no duplicate photos among the collections. See catalog.txt.

  243. 2) In early 1995 we released the first of several screen savers
  244. which feature classic sailing ships such as 19th century
  245. schooners. The format will remain the same: each volume contains 
  246. 15 different, royalty free images.

  248. 3) In 1996, we plan to publish screen savers that feature
  249. archival photography of early trolley cars, electric trains, 
  250. bicycles, late 19th and early 20th century warships and early 
  251. aviation.

  253. The format of each registered product will remain the same: 15 
  254. superb, royalty free images for $15. Stock photo agencies
  255. typically charge license fees in excess of $100 for commercial
  256. use of their images. There will be no duplicate photos throughout 
  257. our entire collection of archival transportation screen savers.
